Communications Coordinator
Description


St. Charles Borromeo Parish and Academy is seeking a full-time Communications Coordinator responsible for the design, execution and deployment of parish communications and marketing. The Communications Coordinator will engage, inform, and connect St. Charles Borromeo community members, employees, and the general public through messaging that is comprehensive, consistent, high-quality and multi-channel. This position will report to the Pastor.


Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain content across digital channels: website, digital sign, social media platforms, online giving and event forms, constant contact email marketing, etc.
  • Create content and layout for the weekly emailed newsletter.
  • Assist staff and volunteers with print and digital assets as established by approved templates, images, and graphics.
  • Photograph events, masses, celebrations and maintain a historical and photographic record of all parish events.
  • Create graphics, videos, flyers, brochures, etc. for parish and academy masses, events, programs, ministries and campaigns
  • Support development and stewardship projects and workflows

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of staff, volunteers, and parishioners.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple, competing priorities.
  • Strong writing, editing, and production skills.
  • Strong knowledge of technology and social media.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Advanced skills in print and digital productions software, especially Adobe products
  • Advance skills in proofreading and copy-editing
  • Knowledge and familiarity with norms and teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Knowledge of web development and design
  • 1-3 years experience managing social media platforms
