Description
Summary: Support the Machine/Mold Maintenance Technician set-up, maintain, and make repairs to rotomolding equipment and molds needed to produce rotationally molded product.

- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works from written & verbal instructions, including blueprints and manufacturing procedures.
- · Understands & follows standard safety and manufacturing procedures.
- Safely & correctly uses a variety of powered and manual hand tools, motorized hoists, gantries, welders, lathes, mills, forklifts, etc.
- Repair fixtures and/or jigs used in production for cooling or secondary operations of products.
- In accordance with the machine manufacturer, perform preventative maintenance & repairs on machines and equipment throughout the facility.
- · Troubleshoot and correct machine-related issues as they arise.
- · Demonstrates & shares technical knowledge with others in training.
- · Sustain a safe and clean workspace.
- · Other related duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to work in a hotter than normal working environment.
- Ability to self-manage, take ownership, problem solve, and “think out of the box.”
- Understanding of basic mechanical systems/components
- Knowledge of how to safely use hand tools & related repair equipment
- Ability to read mechanical drawings or blueprints
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
- Ability to weld is a plus
- Ability to operate a sit-down and stand-up forklift a plus.
- Weekend availability to perform machine maintenance as needed
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Prior experience with large equipment maintenance a plus
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 60+ lbs. with team member as needed
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (3+ hours)
Salary Description
$25/ hour
