LITIGATION PARALEGAL

CAREER ANNOUNCEMENT

A reputable, fast-growing employee rights law firm practicing employment law is seeking to fill a full-time Litigation

Paralegal position in its Glendale office as detailed below.

Title: Litigation Paralegal (on-site, not remote)

Location: Glendale, CA

Hours: Full-Time / 40 hours per week (Mo-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm)

Starting Pay: $30.00 - $40.00+ per hour (depending on experience)

Certification: Paralegal certificate (or equivalent paralegal experience) is required.

Experience: Law office experience is a must.

Responsibilities:

  •  Providing all necessary support to one or more attorneys;
  •  Preparing/drafting and filing legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, discovery;
  •  Maintaining relevant case information;
  •  Maintain and update inventories of contact details;
  •  Handling client communications and working with clients as needed;
  •  Effectively communicate with witnesses, clients, colleagues and partners;
  •  Facilitate the meeting of deadlines;
  •  Managing records, projects and calendars to make sure everything functions smoothly;
  •  Indexing and updating pleadings and discovery files;
  •  Transcribing and/or proofreading legal documents;
  •  Collecting and delivering documents;
  •  Making travel arrangements for one or more Lawyers;
  •  Conducting research and investigating facts regarding cases;
  •  Assisting other staff as requested, and other duties as necessary.

General Skills Required: Excellent verbal communication skills; excellent telephone etiquette, great note-taking skills,

professional and upbeat attitude, attention to detail, honesty, good written communication, dependable, ability to

follow instructions, computer savvy, great typing skills, multi-tasking, ability to prioritize, excellent organizational skills.

Computer Skills Preferred: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Email / Calendar, Adobe, Apple O/S.

Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken & written); Spanish speaking is a plus.
