A reputable, fast-growing law firm practicing employment law is seeking to fill a full-time Associate Attorneys for its Pre-Litigation Intake Team. We are looking for confident, energetic, and sharp attorneys who are quick on-their-feet thinkers.
The area of practice is primarily labor and employment matters, exclusively on behalf of employees in California, with focus on wage and hour class/PAGA actions and single plaintiff employment lawsuits.
Title: Associate Attorney - Intake (on-site preferred; may consider hybrid on-site/remote)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Glendale) - on-site preferred; may consider hybrid/remote
Hours: Full-Time
Salary: $100,000-$130,000+ (Commensurate with Experience)
License Requirements: Active California State Bar license required, with no disciplinary history.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct phone consultations with prospective clients (employees who have disputes with their current or former employers)
- Answer prospective clients’ questions
- Guide prospective clients through legal problems
- Draft memoranda of consultations conducted
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Active California State Bar license, with no disciplinary history.
- Plaintiff or defense side labor and employment experience is a plus but not required.
- Great phone etiquette
- Heavy note-taking and typing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
