On-Site Delivery Driver
Description


  •  Load and unload inbound or outbound freight and equipment such as Equipment Centers, Generator Enclosures, and Customer Supplied Equipment using appropriate large lift trucks, cranes and rigging equipment. 
  • Assist Manufacturing as necessary with major on-site logistic needs such as moving in process enclosures and CSE.
  • Determine load weights and verify against equipment lifting capacities to prevent overload.
  • Work closely with Shipping Lead and other staff to provide accurate details for each shipment.
  • Prepare buildings for shipment by boarding openings, banding doors, and installing any additional equipment needed for proper and safe loading of building.
  • Work closely with Heavy Haul Transportation providers to ensure secure shipments.
  • Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
  • Keep materials and work area clean, organized and free from clutter, or any potential safety hazards.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment are organized, used and stored properly.
  • Perform responsibilities of Material Handler position as needed.
  • Complete projects or any other functions as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Experience operating standard and heavy load capacity forklifts for complex loads preferred.
  • General knowledge concerning operations of cranes, lifting and rigging preferred.
  • Good hand, arm, leg dexterity and coordination; ability to keep hands and arms steady while moving or holding equipment in position.
  • Basic math skills and computer skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including extended hours, Saturdays, and Sundays as needed.
  • Ability to maintain composure when faced with conflict.
  • Ability to carefully judge distance accurately.
  • Work effectively with details and numbers.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
