IEP Administrative Assistant

Job Summary

The Individual Education Plan (IEP) Administrative Assistant will oversee and coordinate the special education team IEP processes and documents. They will help ensure the Heartspring Therapeutic School remains in compliance with all federal, state, and school district IEP-related regulations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Completes tasks to fulfill the special education process timelines under federal, state, school district, and Heartspring regulations. This includes:

  • Entering special education process timeline data into the Heartspring system(s),•
  • Fulfilling responsibilities as assigned in the IEP Process Worksheet,
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and/or other documents to monitor compliance of special education activities and processes,
  • Maintaining and auditing electronic files for special education document
  • Working closely with teachers, leaders, related service providers and other Special Education personnel to complete assigned projects,
  • Inputs information into Heartspring and school district IEP related software systems,
  • Assists teachers and related service providers with using IEP related systems,
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality,
  • Participates in training programs as requested,
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Educational, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Administrative Assistant experience preferred
  • Experience with Webkidss a plus.
  • Must successfully complete all required orientation and training conducted by Heartspring staff.
  • Heartspring Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification.
  • Heartspring First Aid & CPR certification.
Salary Description
$16.40-$25.85
