Position Summary 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Revenue Cycle Epic Clarity Analyst (final level to be determined based on candidates’ level of experience) to join our dynamic team and support growth and stabilization initiatives. The Sr. Revenue Cycle Epic Clarity Analyst will report to the Director of Data Services at Qodex and be supporting the design, development, and implementation of high-quality data solutions that align with our corporate goals. This position requires a highly skilled, data-driven professional with a deep understanding of the Epic Clarity Data Model, particularly within the revenue cycle space. The ideal candidate will hold a current Epic Clarity Revenue Data Model certification and possess exceptional problem-solving abilities to manage full-cycle data analytics. Working with stakeholders across various levels, including operational, and senior leadership, this role is integral to enhancing our organization’s financial health and operational efficiency. 

Healthrise operates in the Microsoft technology stack and Azure services. We leverage an Agile/Scrum development process.  

Duties and Responsibilities 


Data Extraction, Transformation, and Analysis: 

  • Use Epic Clarity, SQL, and advanced analytics tools to conduct in-depth data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Generate high-quality, accurate reports that facilitate key revenue cycle insights, enabling the organization to make well-informed business decisions. Leverage expertise in Epic Clarity and other BI platforms to solve complex data challenges effectively.

Analytics and Report Development: 

  • Design, implement, and manage in-depth reports to provide a clear view of revenue cycle performance. Create models that translate complex datasets into user-friendly, actionable insights, helping stakeholders across departments drive efficiency and strategic planning. 

Project Management and Documentation: 

  • Lead and participate in revenue cycle data projects from initial requirement gathering to final report delivery. Manage timelines, document processes, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Develop data dictionaries, strategy documents, and project reports that capture key metrics, trends, and actionable recommendations for ongoing performance improvement. 

Stakeholder Collaboration and Requirement Gathering: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, clinical informaticists, software engineers, and revenue cycle leaders. Engage in extensive requirement-gathering sessions to fully understand operational needs, translating them into clear data strategies and meaningful solutions aligned with revenue and business objectives. 

Advanced Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis: 

  • Utilize a strong problem-solving skill set to identify patterns and discrepancies within data sets. Perform thorough root cause analysis to address data quality issues, discrepancies, and operational challenges. Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, anticipating and addressing potential hurdles within the revenue cycle. 

Revenue Cycle Optimization: 

  • Interpret complex revenue cycle workflows and provide strategic insights to optimize operations. Identify trends, forecast revenue performance, and suggest data-driven improvements to streamline processes within patient financial services, patient access, registration/admission, and decision support functions. 

Continuous Improvement and Innovation: 

  • Continuously explore and recommend enhancements to business intelligence processes and tools, working closely with team leads and management to drive workflow innovation and optimize analytics capabilities. Facilitate data-driven decision-making by empowering end-users through self-service reporting and insights. 
Requirements

 Qualifications 

  • Epic Clarity Revenue Data Model certification required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Information Management, Data Science, Business, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or data science are a plus. 
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence through the use of Epic Clarity, with at least 2 years in a healthcare or revenue cycle setting. 
  • Advanced expertise in Epic Clarity reporting, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports). 
  • Strong understanding of revenue cycle operations, particularly patient access, billing, coding, account resolution, and decision support. 
  • Proven proficiency in SQL, database querying, data warehousing, and data modeling. 
  • Strong technical abilities in data validation, ETL processes, and BI reporting best practices. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying root causes and providing sustainable, data-driven solutions. 
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • High degree of self-motivation, adaptability, and collaborative spirit, with an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. 
  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies and facilitating cross-departmental teamwork. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and services (e.g. Azure, AWS). 
  • Experience in healthcare preferred but not required
