Description

General Summary:  This position is responsible for handling incoming lead opportunities from external customers not classified as emergency derailment response work. ISS will gather relevant customer contact and job information, classify leads, and complete quotes for customers to sell specific services and drive sales to meet revenue goals. The position requires the ability to manage information across multiple programs in a very fast-paced environment. Computer proficiency is required.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with customers to gather required contact details and information about potential lead opportunities.
  • Documents potential lead opportunity details to Sales Tracker application.
  • Reviews scope of work for potential lead opportunities and assigns type (Quick Turn or Bid) per established criteria. 
  • ISS focus on the sale of Quick Turn opportunities by collaborating with Operations to secure work plans, complete quotes using established pricing structure for specified market, and communicate quotes to customers to obtain approval and secure work.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Field Support to monitor/manage division schedule availability. 
  • Coordinates scheduling of sold work with Operations and Field Support to ensure that service is delivered in a timely and complete manner.
  • Coordinates rental equipment per scope of work, as needed, for proposal completion and secures purchase orders for payment.
  • Monitors/Maintains potential lead opportunities and customer contact information within the Sales Tracker application documenting won/loss status, execution, and invoicing.
  • Communicates information to Credit/Collections group, as needed, to confirm credit worthiness of customers.  
  • Assists Director to compile, analyze and report on lead performance to identify market trends and adjust pricing structure to improve lead generation and increase revenue.
  • Suggests improvements to workflow and processes to continually move toward efficient, cost-effective methods to help meet established business objectives.  
  • Communicates with Sales and Operations on pending opportunities to ensure that they are in process and updates are communicated to customer in a timely manner.
  • Compliance to all company policy and procedures regulations including safety.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required.


Requirements

Educational Requirements:  High School graduate or equivalent.


Experience Requirements: Previous related outside sales experience in account management and growth.


Knowledge/ Skills: 

  • Ability to handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to all types of people, both written and verbal. 
  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to interpret information, decision-making, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:  


The employee must be able to work in a standard office environment and operate a computer and may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
