Overall responsibility: The Payment Business Domain Advisor at Trellance is a senior role focused on delivering strategic insights and actionable recommendations to credit unions. Leveraging deep domain expertise, the advisor interprets data, shares best practices, and collaborates with clients and cross-functional teams to elevate payment services. Acting as a subject matter expert, the advisor guides credit unions through their maturity journey, providing a comprehensive overview of their payment’s domain. This role includes engaging clients, building relationships, training on Trellance analytics solutions, and ensuring high customer satisfaction and solution adoption.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Industry Expertise: Maintain a thorough understanding of the payments industry, the economy, and expert perspectives, ensuring informed advice to clients.
- Strategic Consultancy: Advise credit unions on interpreting data and analytics, offering actionable insights and recommendations to enhance performance and decision-making.
- Domain Best Practices: Keep current with and apply best practices in payments, credit unions, and related transactional systems to support domain excellence.
- State of the Credit Union Reports: Deliver a detailed overview of the state of the credit union’s payments domain, identifying key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Domain Strategy Development: Define domain strategy, goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to align with credit union needs and industry benchmarks.
- Collaboration & Execution: Collaborate with other Trellance subject matter experts (SMEs) across disciplines (e.g., member experience, Lending, Regulatory & Compliance, Reporting, etc.) to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure execution of recommendations.
- Benchmarking & Analysis: Benchmark client credit unions against others at similar stages of their journey to offer comparative insights and strategies for growth.
- Data & Analytics: Define data needs, design visualizations, and integrate predictive analytics to support domain insights and product development within Trellance.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Continuously evaluate emerging trends and innovations in payments to guide credit unions in adopting cutting-edge strategies and solutions
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of four (10) years of experience. Or High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the field.
Company / Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in banking, credit union, or financial services industries is required. Experience with data analytics solutions is preferred.
Other Experience:
- Experience managing payments portfolios, designing strategies for delinquency reduction, and optimizing recovery rates.
- Proficiency in using data analytics tools to track payment trends, forecast recovery performance, and improve processes.
- Familiarity with software and systems used in payments processes.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication skills to deliver strategic insights and domain-specific guidance.
- Experience working with transactional systems within the payments domain.
- Ability to develop strategies, KPIs, and execute against them in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with data visualization and predictive analytics in support of domain analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate with clients and stakeholders.
Role may include Travel : 20%
