Position Overview:


In this position, you will oversee all functions related to patient substance use disorder treatment to ensure standards and quality of care are maintained and aligned with the residential and outpatient MAT facility’s goals and the organization’s strategic medical-related goals within areas of patient care in Dickinson.

  • Assists the Chief Medical Officer in providing patient care for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
  • Participate in triage, clinical/medical care team meetings, and coordination of care meetings.
  • Complete screening/assessments with patients to obtain history, perform physical examinations, order lab and other tests, and write prescriptions/medical orders.
  • Plan, implement, and direct all medically related patient care for patients at all levels of care and make referrals for ongoing and follow-up care for patients.
  • Complete mental health assessments and provide mental health services.
  • Establish positive relationships and work cooperatively with local medical and behavioral health community providers to provide quality patient care.
  • Present educational programs to patients, families, and staff, and when given the opportunity, to the community and nationally. 
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Requirements

What you bring to the table:


One of the following: 

· Graduate of an accredited school of Physician Assistant Studies or collegiate program (Master of Physician Assistant Studies).

· Graduate of accredited school of nursing or collegiate program. 

· Master of Science in Nursing-Doctor of Nursing Practice Path, Executive Leader Specialization.

· Doctor of Nursing Practice.

· Master of Science in Nursing-Doctor of Nursing Practice Path.

· Master of Science in Nursing to Doctor of Nursing Practice Path, Family Nurse Practitioner Specialization.

· 3-5 years of experience in a behavioral health or addiction-related position is preferred, but not required.

· Unencumbered or unrestricted current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant/Advanced Practice Provider in the  State of North Dakota.

· CPR certification, or ability to obtain.

· Valid driver’s license with no open cases.

· Trained to administer Narcan, or the ability to obtain training onsite.
