Primary Job Responsibilities: Responsible for leading the coordination of the proposal development process (RFP/RFQ) between CDI Client Relations Team, CDI Service Leaders and our clients. This position is also responsible for the leading and designing, layout, and content of CDI’s resumes, project sheets, and website and social media. Also, lead and design all internal communication and company meetings.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE AREAS

Proposals, Project Sheets and Resumes

  • Read and understand RFPs, RFQs and other proposal related documents to facilitate and coordinate the preparation of responses with our Service Leaders.
  • Create and manage a proposal development process.
  • Take the lead on all proposal development with CDI’s Service Leaders, providing the supporting information needed for the proposal, except the technical approach.
  • Support development and implementation of proposal schedules and timelines.
  • Coordinate final production to include word processing, graphics, proofreading, editing, printing, collation, and binding.
  • Create, maintain, and update a standard company overview sheet, resumes, and project sheets.

Marketing Material

  • Prepare project interview materials including CDI’s marketing book, power point presentations, and other marketing materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with Client Relations Team and President to design, order, and manage all of CDI Promotional Items, both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate the design, edit, and delivery of all Marketing related advertisements, sponsorship's and promotions.

Database/Information Management

  • Update and maintain the diversity matrix.

Creativity and Design

  • Creative approach and ability to take a complex conceptual idea to completion.
  • Create visually appealing layout and design templates by utilizing InDesign Adobe and other programs.
  • Support consistent branding and messaging across all means of marketing and media.

Website, Communication and Social Media

  • Update website and internal SharePoint with current projects, photos, and updates.
  • Coordinate, draft, and edit all external communication and announcements.
  • Support CDI’s social media presence.
  • Coordinate the design of any needed digital signage.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Publisher, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Adobe products, especially InDesign.
  • Proficiency in a photo editing software.
  • Skillful proof-reader and editor.
  • Experience in updating content and photos on a website.
  • Experience in Corporate social media (LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Project Management, client relations, and proposal development.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make decisions.
  • Ability to manage projects and handle simultaneously occurring tasks.
  • High capacity for self-motivation and ability to effectively communicate complex engineering terminology.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail.

Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting marketing and communications, specifically in proposal development related to RFPs/RFQs, preferred.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or related industry preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency or strong interest in photography.
  • Experience creating in InDesign Adobe.

Working Conditions: Normal working conditions in an office environment absent extreme factors. An occasional visit to a construction site may be required. May be exposed to varying temperatures or other environmental elements at the job sites.
