JOB SUMMARY 

The ideal candidate will have experience with flooring installation, cabinetry, and showers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The position entails complete responsibility for the functions mentioned below, with the possibility of additional duties being assigned.

  • Perform daily site visits to the assigned communities and communicate directly with the community builder or superintendent. It is essential to establish a relationship built on trust and dependability with each job site builder and their personnel. Answer field calls, texts and emails professionally and promptly with knowledge and courtesy to be successful. Attend builder’s preconstruction and safety meetings.
  • Inspect the installation of the flooring, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, shower walls & floors, tile, window coverings, etc., within 48 hours of completion.
  • Conduct field measures, confirm the drawings, dimensions, and job specifications, and verify plumbing locations. Communicate the homesite's readiness information to the assigned scheduling associate. Keep a record of the site inventory, remove any excess parts from the job sites, and return them to the warehouse. Perform minor repairs such as partial tile and LVP replacements, grout, or caulking touch-ups, etc. Conduct customer service inspections/repairs with homebuyers, builders, superintendents, and manufacturers.
  • Check the schedule regularly and collect walk sheets from the scheduling or customer care team daily or at least 2-3 times a week. Order parts promptly. Add notes consistently to the system. Email completed walk sheets and short product order forms with pictures to assigned office associates for progress updates.

  • Perform occasional will-calls and material deliveries to the sites from the warehouse or vendors.
  • Inform the Field QC Manager of any incomplete installations, outstanding issues, or job site delays to address them promptly.
Requirements

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • At least two years' experience with flooring and cabinetry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs. Ability to learn and adapt to new software programs as needed.
  • Good communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills. 
  • Ability to work with multiple contractors and subcontractors, prioritize workload and resources, and execute a problem-solving plan for optimal results.
  • Being a good team player is essential. Be open to feedback, exercise control when facing challenges, react well under pressure, and adapt to changes and delays. Be punctual and arrive at meetings and appointments on time. 
  • Clean driving records with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
