Description

JOB SUMMARY 

Work directly with Building Superintendents and Independent Installers to accomplish successful installation of all flooring. Manage incoming and outgoing inventory as well as maintain a clean, safe, and accurate inventory. Identify problems and come up with solutions. Scrutinize all aspects of operation to be more efficient, cost less, and increase quality. Build and maintain relationships with customers and Independent Contractors.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform pre-inspections of all job sites and exercise independent judgment on inspections which includes marking any deficiencies as well as floor breaks and products to be installed.
  • Notify builder of any issues found during pre-inspection.
  • Complete Field Measure sheet with all quantities of materials required for 100% completion of install. 
  • Measure moisture levels where needed note on measure packet.
  • Provide technical support to the installers based on the manufacturer’s specifications and special instructions from the builders. 
  • Communicate to the builders of any manufacturer’s specifications for the materials selected for installation.
  • Inspect during installation, ensure a safe and clean job site.
  • Diagnose installation problems and determine the proper solution.
  • Supervise daily installations on site.
  • Perform inspections of finished installs and determine the quality of the installation and cleanliness of the job site. Any excess materials stored in the proper location.
  • Ensure the swift and complete repair of all punch items from Final Inspection as well as QA from builder.
  • Accomplish in a timely manner all assigned tasks by Operations Manager.
  • Strive to exceed the expectations of assigned leadership as well as customers.
  • Keep leadership and subordinates informed at all times.
  • Assign and schedule the independent contractors to do the work.
  • Keep track of the independent contractor’s work quality and dependability and make decision of continued use.
  • Update/Maintain Lotaware (Lot tracking software) as a duty & responsibility. 
  • Track, Maintain, & Submit a monthly mileage log.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with flooring products a plus
  • Residential new construction experience with national home builders a plus
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient with iPad and iPhone
