Maintenance Mechanic II
Description

Entry-level Maintenance Mechanic.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to working with a wide variety of tools and instrumentation to repair equipment breakdowns. Work in a highly efficient manner to minimize downtime effects in a production environment. Execute Preventive Maintenance Program schedules to avoid costly manufacturing interruptions.


JOB ELEMENTS OR TASKS:

o Perform all daily maintenance functions and 5S requirements (i.e. clean and sweep area)

o Train others as required

o Enter data in T&A and close work orders as required

o Perform other functions in the department as necessary


Timely Repair/Maintenance of equipment facilitating piano manufacture including but not limited to:

o Computer Numerically controlled (CNC) machining centers

o Automatic saw machines

o Sanders

o Planers & Jointers

o Table & Band Saws

o Drill Presses

o Hand tool repair: random orbital sanders and hand grinders

o Spray coating systems

o Pneumatic systems such as compressors and vacuum pumps

o Dust collection systems (interior & exterior)

o General construction facilitating plant renovations and support of company continuous improvement initiatives



Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

o Sound hand-to-eye coordination and dexterity to manipulate tools and equipment effectively

o Perform work in physically demanding conditions at times

o Periods of heavy lifting greater than 50lbs. is common

o Attends to housekeeping measures to ensure a safe work environment is maintained

o Assist Continuous Improvement (CI) Events by communicating with team members and building structures to specifications.

Salary Description
$20 - $23.48/hr
