The following is a hybrid remote position which requires 1-2 days per week in office at the Liberty, SC location. The Business Development Specialist role is responsible for lead generation, increasing sales pipeline, and supporting lead generation programs. The role will focus on outbound prospecting for new business on a one-to-one basis and supporting automated outbound campaigns. The ability to exercise independent judgment and creativity in the prospecting process is important. Daily activities may include direct lead prospecting, executing large scale programmatic campaigns, assisting with campaign creation, reporting, and communications with management, marketing, and sales.
Essential Duties & Specific Responsibilities
Lead Generation
- Prospecting calls and emails to qualify leads based on B.A.N.T. criteria (budget, authority, need, and timeline) for business automation projects
- Nurturing prospects through the sales cycle
- Fielding inbound communications
- Working with the Sales team to set meetings with SQL’s (Sales Qualified Leads)
Campaign Support and Execution
- Data entry, processing, and reporting in HubSpot and ZoomInfo
- Assist with creation of outbound emails and call scripts that will effectively nurture prospects through the decision funnel
- Maintain updated records in the CRM of activities and conversations
- Utilize ZoomInfo and other resources to find and compile company and contact data
Qualifications & Background
Education & Certifications
- 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service or inside sales environment highly preferred
- 4-year degree in a related area preferred, 2-Year degree minimum
Knowledge & Technical/Job Specific Skills
- Proficiency in both verbal and written communication is essential
- Comfortable communicating with Sr. Manager and higher levels highly preferred
- Understanding of lead generation in a B2B business preferred
- Familiarity with SaaS (Software as a Service) a plus
- Knowledge of NetSuite, Hubspot and ZoomInfo a plus
