Marketing Manager
Description

The Marketing Manager plays an essential role in the success of RIOS strategic goals through the management of diverse marketing activities in support of RIOS’s global offices.  This individual is responsible for managing a team of Pursuit Coordinators and Assistant(s), while also working on multiple simultaneous project pursuits and collaborating with the Communications and Business Development teams. This candidate must be local to RIOS’ Los Angeles HQ.  

The ideal candidate will be engaged, high-energy, collaborative, flexible, and willing to integrate into RIOS by learning our culture and business goals from the inside out. The Manager is responsible for setting a positive tone, maintaining high morale, and providing ongoing training, advocacy, mentorship, and support to the Pursuits team within the fast-paced environment of a growing global company. Key skills and qualifications include extensive knowledge of AEC marketing combined with excellent interpersonal and team management skills. The Marketing Manager reports directly to the CMO and collaborates closely with firm leadership and the Business Development team to support strategic planning initiatives and business goals.  



Responsibilities include: 

  • Acting as the liaison between CMO, Business Development team and Pursuits team 
  • Efficient and thoughtful management, preparation, coordination, and production of qualifications packages, proposals, presentation materials, and competition pre-qualification entries  
  • Serving as point-person managing incoming requests for marketing materials or RFP/RFQs for RIOS’ global offices 
  • Organize internal teams for go/no go conversations  
  • Tracking Pursuit team workload and RFP/RFQ deadlines 
  • Acting as a resource to the Pursuits team in completing high-quality work 
  • Working with Coordinators and Assistant(s) to implement initiatives such as collateral rebranding, asset management, and bid opportunity research 
  • Pursuit tracking in CRM database 
  • Preparing and maintaining firm collateral such as project sheets, resumes, awards and publication lists, etc. 
  • Collaborating with Pursuits team to suggest and implement team processes and workflows that support efficiency and quality 
  • Building and maintaining a collaborative, positive team culture 
  • Coordinating and staffing project photo shoots and support occasional firm events 
  • Liaising with Communications team to support external communication campaigns including social media, newsletter, blog posts, website updates, and press  
  • Developing thought leadership materials in collaboration with project teams that support strategic goals, key typologies, and marketing initiatives 
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, or associated field(s) is preferred 
  • 8+ years of relevant marketing experience working in an architecture, interior design, or landscape architecture firm 
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Excellent InDesign skills; Illustrator and Photoshop skills a plus) 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Dynamics365 or similar CRM, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.
  • Strong writing and editing skills 
  • Strong visual storytelling skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Can-do, proactive, and team-focused attitude   
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to effectively evaluate and communicate level of priority between competing assignments, and distribute resources accordingly in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to be resourceful, proactive, and flexible to respond efficiently to diverse needs within time and resource constraints 
  • Cultural competency to collaborate with global offices in London, Shanghai, and Singapore; experience in international environment a plus 
  • Excellent soft skills including interpersonal skills, leadership, problem-solving, and management ability 
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaborative teams with a self-motivated, positive attitude 
  • Some travel may be required 
Salary Description
$90,000- $110,000+ D.O.E.
