 What you will be doing: 


The Admissions Representative II is an integral role that directly affects SDI’s overarching growth plan and the fulfillment of SDI’s mission via student satisfaction and care. Under general supervision, and with a proven track record of demonstrated success in this role, a successful Admissions Representative II assists and enrolls students interested in pursuing one of the academic programs that SDI offers. The individual is responsible for accurately portraying SDI’s academic programs, enrollment process, admissions qualifications, and financial consideration to each prospective inquiry. The Admissions Representative II will make outgoing phone calls, answer incoming phone calls, send and receive emails and texts, conduct interviews, and monitor our Live Chat platform, as they guide prospective students through all stages of the enrollment process. This role is an essential element in assisting committed students to pursue an education in their career field of choice.

  • Consistently meets or exceeds established individual goals
  • Contacts candidates assigned to the Admissions Representative using phone, email, text, Live Chat or other approved methods
  • Answers and/or returns all incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries for any of our Firearms Technology programs in a timely fashion
  • Evaluates the applicant’s qualifications, past experiences and career objectives during the interview and other conversations to ensure a proper fit for SDI
  • Provides one-on-one, personalized assistance to our prospective students through the application, enrollment and initial attendance process of the course
  • Ensures that all verbal and electronic interactions portray SDI’s programs and course offerings in a positive, professional way free from misrepresentation and in line with the guidance of various regulatory agencies including DEAC, Department of Education, ATF, DOD, the State of Arizona, VA, and more.
  • Acts as the liaison between the prospective student, Financial Services and Student Success to ensure a successful student experience
  • Presents SDI’s academic program information and evaluates the best fit for the prospective student
  • Monitors our Live Chat application, fielding questions and participating in continual dialog with the Live Chats as needed
  • Processes prospective student applications and all supporting documents into SDI’s information systems according to policy and with attention to detail
  • Follows prescribed guidelines and department best practices to evaluate prospect qualifications
  • Maintains and monitors the lead database effectively
  • Participates in company, team and one-on-one meetings and coaching calls as assigned
  • Consistently uses the prescribed recruitment methodology
  • Supports and collaborates with other Admissions and SDI-wide staff to ensure a seamless student experience
  • Adheres to all company and regulatory rules and requirements
  • Through experience in previous and/or current Admissions roles, demonstrates a strong understanding of the considerations, steps, and expectations of a student's college Admissions process
  • Using skills cultivated through Admissions experience, shares past successes regarding techniques for finding student motivators and decision points with less experienced team members.

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • Three years or more experience in higher education Admissions required
  • Familiarity with firearms/gunsmithing and or drone technology is a huge plus
  • Proficient with most Microsoft and Google programs and applications
  • Communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Positive interpersonal and relationship building skills for both internal and external relationships
  • Ability to operate in a competitive and with compassion
  • Ability to function well independently and as a member of a team
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Results-oriented, organized self- starter with the ability to influence others
  • Knowledge of and commitment to regulatory and college enrollment policies, standards and procedures
  • Availability to work some Saturdays and evenings, as needed for coverage
  • Some travel required, up to 5%
