The School of Theology and Northeastern Seminary at Roberts Wesleyan University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in New Testament Studies. While primary competence should be in the New Testament (including second temple Judaism), applicants should be able to teach in both testaments as needed. Applicants should be committed to a vocation of teaching and scholarship on behalf of the church and have demonstrated competence or promise in both classroom and online instruction. Additionally, the candidates should be able to relate well to undergraduate population, as the position consists of teaching on the associate and baccalaureate level, including teaching the Bible as part of general education. A PhD or comparable degree in New Testament studies is expected though outstanding late-stage ABD applications will be considered. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The School of Theology and Northeastern Seminary especially encourages applications from persons who would bring diversity to the faculty. To apply, complete the online application and send application materials, including a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, official transcripts, and evaluations of teaching (if available) to ntfacultysearch@roberts.edu by December 31, 2024. Additionally, please send three confidential letters of recommendation to Dr. Josef Sykora by email or mail to Roberts Wesleyan University, Attn: Northeastern Seminary, 2301 Westside Drive, Rochester, NY 14624. www.nes.edu.
