JOB SUMMARY

Currently seeking candidates with Interior Design backgrounds to fill the role of Interior Design and Sales Professional. Must have the ability to connect with customers as part of the sales and selection process. Ongoing recruitment for this position includes opportunities at our Middleton and East Madison/DeForest showrooms. Professional career opportunities are available in flooring, countertops, cabinets, and appliances.


The Interior Design and Sales Professional position is a full-time sales-commissioned position for residential or commercial markets. Candidate will be responsible for achieving specified sales and margin goals. Will be expected to provide the highest level of customer service and up-to-date product knowledge for current and future products. Continuous attainment and refinement of sales techniques is expected, along with adherence to company policies and procedures. Candidates with less sales experience will also be considered for Sales Assistant.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist customers/clients in selection process and develop customer/client relationships.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and keep current on product and industry knowledge.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, tradeshows and builder meetings as required.
  • Ensure the showroom and personal workspace is maintained in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
  • Enter and process all paperwork
  • Occasionally make jobsite visits.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Experience in interior or home design, home furnishings, remodeling, or construction.
  • Able to develop and deliver sales presentations.
  • Able to create, compose and edit written materials.
  • Able and willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficient in computer spreadsheet programs, e-mail, Word programs and learn company computer system.

  • Local travel to current and potential customers/clients.
