Credit Processor
Description

The Credit Processor is responsible for entering Application and Vendor Data as well as simultaneously providing a first critical transaction screen for eligibility, accuracy, completeness, and truthfulness to ensure only suitable prospects and counterparties move forward. To perform these tasks, the Credit Processor utilizes a variety of applications and tools, both company-provided and external, as well as applies knowledge gained from experience and interactions with peers and management. Additional duties include updating Customer and Transaction information (i.e., Re-reviews) and performing Vendor approvals.

Key Responsibilities


Application Entry and Review

  •  Enter all transaction information from an Application and positively identify all parties, whether new or existing in AmurEF’s database.
  •  Download and review all internal (e.g., True Exposure) and third-party reports for credit review (e.g., PayNet, Experian, SOS, etc.).
  •  Identify inconsistent information, data outliers and potential fraudulent transactions.
  •  Validate automatic credit declines (i.e. Restricted Equipment, Restricted Industry / Mortgage Delinquency, etc.).
  •  Escalate Applications with incomplete, unclear or inconsistent information.
  •  Complete an acceptable quantity of transactions on a daily basis across all origination channels to maintain the transaction queue fluid.
  •  Download and review all necessary reports for Vendor Approvals; complete Vendor Approvals accurately and timely.
  •  Process Re-Reviews efficiently and accurately (i.e., equipment changes, etc.).

Data Entry Quality

  •  Maintain a high and consistent degree of accuracy and completeness in reviewing, entering and checking transaction data regardless of the activity pace.
  •  Correctly identify and define all dimensions of an Application (e.g., Equipment Codes and SIC codes).

Customer Service and Cooperation

  •  Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers in other Departments to ensure transactions are handled in an efficient and timely manner, as well as that the contents are clear and complete.
  •  Suggest to Manager ideas for inter- and intra-Departmental process improvements.
  •  Provide training, guidance and feedback to new hires as part of the on-boarding process.
  •  Engage and inspire peers to exceed monthly production and accuracy goals and always project to internal and external constituencies a positive, high-energy image.

Requirements

  • Self-motivation with a strong sense of initiative and accountability as well as attention to detail
  • Thorough knowledge of the Application submission process and third-party data sources
  • Detailed knowledge of industries, equipment types, and Customer profiles financed by Amur
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks during a constantly fluctuating workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to exemplifying the highest integrity and professional business standards
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Word, Internet-based solutions, and information sources, as well as Amur transaction management platforms (e.g., Salesforce.com and SSRS)

Education and Training Guidelines

  • High School Diploma required
  • Prior experience in customer-facing and data-entry position strongly preferred

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional setting, whether office-based or home-based. This role routinely uses

standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners and filing cabinets. Requires

training in new software systems or learning upgraded software programs.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to

successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to talk or hear; may be

necessary to stand, walk, handle, or reach with hands or arms. This is largely a sedentary role; however,

some filing is required, calling for the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool

as necessary. The team member frequently is required to walk. The team member is occasionally

required to pack and move files or boxes as well as lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision

abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • This position may have access to confidential information.
  • A background check is required.
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of Amur are Monday through Friday, typically 8:00AM to
  • 5:00PM or 8:30AM to 5:30PM, or as otherwise agreed upon with the Department Manager. Staying late or working from home may be necessary on occasions, especially during times of high origination activity or at the end of the month, quarter and/or year.

Travel is not expected for this position.
