Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service to Institute guests.
This is a part time position working 20-25 hours per week
Essential Responsibilities:
- Set and prepare tables for guests
- Greet and seat guests
- Provide guests with information about the menu, drinks and appropriate combinations
- Maintain guest confidentiality
- Clear guest tables and return dishes to the kitchen
- Understand proper sanitation procedures
- Assist with setup and service to conference guests
- Restock and clean service and conference food and beverage areas
- Understand how to read Banquet Event Orders
- Willing to serve on buffet line
- Maintain proper uniform
- Willing to work break service areas
- Assist with serving meals regardless of campus location
- Assist kitchen with setup of service lines, carry/placing food, etc.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist in other Hospitality areas if needed.
- If of age, be willing to learn and work in bar area
- Other duties as assigned

- Basic computer skills (ALOHA)

- Knowledge of food and beverage industry standards, rules, regulations, etc.

Environmental Factors: (lifting, standing, sitting, sounds, chemicals, hazards, etc.)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (approx. 5-8 hours per day)
- Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. daily
- Must be able to tolerate noises associated with job duties

Minimum Requirements:
- Work Experience: None required
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from Petit Jean Mountain
- Availability: Must be available to work any shift, 7 days a week

Preferred Requirements:
- Work Experience: 1 year previous hospitality-related work experience
- Education: High school diploma or GED, and hospitality related classwork
- Certifications/Specialized Training: ServSafe or other hospitality related training/certifications
Employee must safely be able to perform the following physical tasks:
- Sit or stand for entire shift (approx. 8-10 hours), depending on assigned work area
- Lifting, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, depending on assigned work area
- Lift minimum of approx. 50 lbs.
Employee must be able to safely tolerate the following environmental factors:
- Sounds, noises, chemicals, hazards, associated with responsibilities of assigned work area
- Varying temperatures
- Use of detergents, soaps, scrubs sanitizers, and hot water or other compounds associated with assigned work area
- Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for assigned work area (face masks, gloves, cutting gloves, etc.)
