Job Summary
A Commercial Lending Associate assists with collecting financials, loan documentation, processing, closing, and monitoring while providing quality service to bank’s customers. May also assist with other client service duties as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinates with customers and lenders on all ticklers (financial, tax, insurance, and compliance if applicable).
- Assists and coordinates with customers and lenders on all past dues (loan payments, real estate tax payments and insurance coverages).
- Assists as a secondary point person of Relationship Manager or Portfolio Manager when he or she is out of the bank.
- From time to time, assists in operational capacities as requested.
- Pulls personal and corporate credit bureaus as well as OFAC reports.
- Coordinates with Relationship Manager or Portfolio Manager on clearing all lending due diligence items (which includes prior to closing items).
- Assists in collecting all BSA / AML information to ensure compliance is in place which includes compiling CIP, beneficial ownership forms and verifying Relationship Manager has signed CIP if a depository account has not been established.
- Coordinates with Loan Ops on LaserPro. Serves as a back up to Loan Ops for keying docs on LaserPro.
- Coordinates with Attorney Prepared Documents where needed.
- Inputs customer information on the FIS core system to ensure billing is sent to the appropriate place.
- Notifies Credit Administration or Loan Ops to pull Flood Determinations as needed from lending officers, credit officers.
- Notifies Loan Ops of potential UCC searches.
- Ensures BSA compliance by reading and being familiar with the BSA/AML program/policy; following all BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures; and completing all BSA/AML/OFAC related online courses.
- All other tasks, responsibilities, or duties, as directed by management.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience in loan operations or as loan assistant in commercial bank.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with commercial loan documentation and processes.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize initiatives and duties.
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow directions in a timely, accurate and confidential manner.
