Position Title: Fundraising and Marketing Associate
Reports to: President & CEO Office
Job Status: Full-time
Work Week: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; evening and weekend hours as needed.
Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000

Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM) is a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, PA providing human services to the community including early childhood education, foster care & adoption, child welfare, mental & behavioral health, community and economic development, housing, violence intervention, and services to community schools. APM has been servicing the North Philadelphia community since 1970.
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Fundraising and Marketing Associate to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to our organization’s mission. The associate will support the development and execution of fundraising and marketing initiatives to expand donor engagement, enhance brand awareness, and support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Support
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
- Maintain donor databases, ensuring accurate records and timely acknowledgments.
- Conduct research on potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
- Prepare donor outreach materials, including letters, emails, and proposals.
- Track fundraising metrics and compile reports to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
Marketing and Communications
- Support the creation of marketing materials, including newsletters, social media posts, and website content.
- Help manage the organization’s social media accounts, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to raise awareness and drive engagement.
- Monitor and report on marketing trends, analytics, and audience feedback.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, printers, and other vendors for promotional materials.
Administrative and Collaborative Tasks
- Provide administrative support to the fundraising and marketing teams.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure cohesive messaging and efforts.
- Support logistics for events, including registration, setup, and on-site coordination.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with donor databases or CRM software is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a bonus.
- Basic knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) and social media scheduling platforms.
