POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Facilities Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Bank owned facilities by providing support to the Facilities Manager. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities related to the maintenance, repair and general upkeep of the Bank’s facility infrastructure, equipment, and systems. The Facilities Maintenance Assistant works with the Facilities Manager to ensure all facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs a variety of general repairs, preventative maintenance and building maintenance, pertaining to all owned and leased Bank properties by following established practices and procedures.

· Performs routine maintenance tasks such as repairing and troubleshooting repairs for buildings, fixtures, and furniture at all Bank properties, including facilities inspections. Duties include but are not limited to minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs and adjustments, changing filters, fixing locks, replacing ceiling tiles and lights, repairing carpets, locating and repairing roof leaks, exterior/interior painting, snow removal, landscaping, event and equipment set-up for meetings/seminars, and other duties as assigned.

· Performs monthly maintenance inspections on all buildings reporting any noted deficiencies, and performs repairs as needed. This includes checking properties for outdoor cleanliness and safety.

· Responsible for sorting mail, FedEx, and other items delivering them to the appropriate departments when needed. Will also courier inter-office documents and items as needed between banking centers.

· Transports records to and from the Record Retention room, and document location of records and reporting back to the Facilities Manager for input into the Record Retention database.

· Works with vendors on a variety of issues which could include relocations, furniture and equipment moving.

· Maintains an inventory of various supplies and furniture. Maintains storage areas in an organized manner for all supplies and equipment.

· Assist in managing work order requests and keeping accurate records of work orders via the Fidelity Bank HelpDesk.

· Willingness to use personal vehicle when necessary (up to 75% of the time) for business purposes-mileage to be reimbursed at federal rates.

· Performs other duties as required or requested by Facilities Manager.

Requirements


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· High school diploma or equivalent, specialized vocational training in facilities related areas such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC is preferred.

· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.

· Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform various manual tasks as required.

· Ability to use personal computer, commonly used hand and power tools and cleaning equipment.

· Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills, plus ability to work independently with minimal direction.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities for documentation and supply tracking.

· Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

· Valid driver’s license as well as reliable transportation for travel across Fidelity Bank’s footprint.

· Must pass all appropriate background checks as required by the Bank.
