JOB SUMMARY
Our Field Technician will be responsible for homeowner occupied repairs that will include (but not limited to) carpet rekicks/restretches, tile grout/caulk touch ups, hardwood board replacements, etc. The Field Technician will also be cross trained to handle miscellaneous tasks related to production repairs and touch ups as assigned by supervisor. Our ideal candidate would be detail oriented, self-sufficient, and able to work with a sense of urgency while remaining positive and maintaining accuracy through daily processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally verbally and in writing
- Strong organization skills
- Understand and be able to work from work order notes and diagrams
- Problem solving mind set
- Communicate with customers in a prompt and courteous manner to resolve issues and respond to questions
- Be mindful of safety policies and procedures in a variety of both finished and new construction work environments
- Proactive thinker
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years' experience in flooring surfaces industry
- Computer skills and customer relations experience helpful
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to provide solutions
- Provide solutions to typical repairs in tile, carpet, hardwood / laminate and vinyl surfaces (vehicles and tools provided)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
