Job Title: Accounting Clerk
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Status: Part-Time, 20 Hours Per Week
Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Position Description Summary:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting in processing expense reports and vendor vouchers. Ensures the accuracy of entries to vendor and employee records and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Compiles financial data to aid accounting staff in the preparation of client invoices, balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Assists in analyzing current vendor and employee expense report costs incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Essential Duties:
· Process weekly vendor invoices
· Prepare 1099s for vendors
· Assist with the month end close
· Process weekly employee expense reports
· Complete and submit subcontractor payment confirmations
· Other general administrative tasks/projects as assigned by the Controller
Education and Experience:
Two years of payables experience or currently pursuing an accounting degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
· Ability to learn new skills and abilities through on-the-job training
· Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office suite
· Ability to self-motivate
· Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
· Above average communication skills, both oral and written
· Attention to detail with respect to quality standards
· Payroll processing/Payroll tax filings/registrations experience helpful
· Experience with Deltek software desirable
· Ability to work overtime during peak busy periods required
