Internship anticipated to occur in May, 2025 through August, 2025


What You’ll Do:

The Purchasing & Planning Intern will have the opportunity to learn different aspects of procurement, logistics, inventory management, demand planning, and data analysis.  This individual will be interfacing with multiple departments within the organization. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports day-to-day activities in procurement, inventory management, production planning, order fulfillment, and distribution.
  • Helps analyze supply chain data, prepare reports, and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Assists in identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitors inventory levels, tracks stock movements, and supports inventory reconciliation efforts to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Assists with order entry, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Helps maintain communication with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Assists with coordinating transportation logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, helping to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
  • Contributes ideas for process improvement and supports the implementation of new supply chain initiatives or tools.
  • Assists with organizing and maintaining records related to shipments, inventory, and procurement.
  • Works closely with other departments such as engineering, catalog management, and operations to ensure alignment and resolve issues related to the supply chain.
  • Assists in special projects related to supply chain optimization, cost reduction, or process automation.
  • Will perform other responsibilities as required. 
Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
