Internship anticipated to occur in May, 2025 through August, 2025


What You’ll Do:

The Production Continuous Improvement Intern will have the opportunity to participate in training and projects within various production and production support departments. They will participate in our manufacturing processes – on and off the assembly line.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Audits work instructions and maintain current production processes
  • Promotes and supports Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in the facility
  • Collects data on assembly processes and cycle times
  • Learns and applies Lean/6 Sigma techniques to steer improvements to quality, cost, and delivery
  • Researches and analyzes equipment operations to improve efficiency
  • Assists with inventory preparations
  • Recognizes improvement opportunities
  • Contributes to safety, quality, and operational performance by joining existing teams and other tasks as assigned
  • Helps improve our material delivery systems and management through developing flow racks and kanban systems for production departments.
  • Promotes and supports Lean Principles
  • Will perform additional responsibilities when required 
Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Pursuing a degree in Production or Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field
  • Possesses practical mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
  • Comfortable with hand tools to create prototype parts and assemblies
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
  • Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
