IT Technician

About the Role:

The IT Technician works collaboratively to provide support and customer service excellence in the administration and technical functions of various IT systems and hardware. This position will include desktop support, Windows application support, hardware configuration and repair, process documentation, telecommunications, and basic information security concepts.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to local and remote users through efficient and effective IT solutions.
  • Day-to-day administration and maintenance of the various technical systems.
  • Follow standard help desk procedures; log interactions; redirect or escalate problems to appropriate resources as needed; identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Assist the IT department when major disasters or major infrastructure changes occur, often by functioning as a Communication Command Center.
  • Functions as primary technical contact for all hardware problems.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, systems, networks, phones, printers, scanners, etc.
  • Deploy, configure, and support mobility devices (iOS and Android).
  • Recommend and schedule repairs, via vendors or hands-on.
  • Setup remote construction and managed property sites.
  • Provide regular on-site support to remote construction and managed property sites.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Provide end users support for all LAN-based applications.
  • Train users on desktop applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and other business applications.
  • Create and update technical documentation as needed.
  • Up to 40% travel to job sites and offices in Northern Colorado and Denver Metro areas
Requirements

Education and Qualifications: 

  • 1-3 years of work experience in an IT-related field.
  • Coursework in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or another technical related field. Relevant experience may substitute for coursework.
  • Certification in ITIL, A+, N+, and MCSA is considered an asset.
  • Proven record of providing excellent customer service
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of PC hardware with the ability to disassemble and reassemble
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/Windows Server) 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite 
  • Experience with network topology and network hardware (firewalls, routers, etc.)
  • Ability to solve problems using experience and solid analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple issues at one time
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to take initiative to recognize problems and resolve issues independently
  • Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills with excellent attention to detail


Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to crawl, stoop or squat to install computer equipment

Salary: Salary range of $58,000 to $73,000. Salary is commensurate with skills, experience, and education.
