Introduction and Purpose:
Kula Bio (KB) is an up-and-coming biofertilizer company making a major impact within the agriculture industry. Kula Bio is currently seeking a high performing agronomy and soil health expert who wants to grow with an emerging company as a South Eastern Technical Service Lead on our Commercial Team. Your Role:
As a South Eastern Technical Service Lead reporting to the Head of Field Technology, you are an integral contributor on the Commercial Team and help make the industry aware of this new, disruptive technology. In this role, you are responsible for agronomic recommendations, product positioning, and product education. You provide marketing input as well as innovative product/technology ideas and be involved in community activities.
On a regular day, you will partner with the sales team to help maximize product performance and agronomic fit. Educate and provide product positioning recommendations to the sales team and to channel partners, aligned with the Kula Bio commercial strategy. A critical piece of this role is engaging growers for demonstration trials or product recommendations for relevant crops and application methods for south eastern region crops. Analyzing commercial trial data and scoping product competition to design trials that demonstrate Kula Bio product advantages will be critical in this role. Engaging key industry influencers and building relationships and sharing product knowledge is required.
To thrive in this role, you are an experienced relationship-builder with the ability to motivate dealers and distributors by presenting and promoting our products. You require a close working relationship with your sales team members. You have the ability to educate to all knowledge levels and have a full understanding of southeastern region crops and fertilizer applications. You actively listen and proactively support customers and prospects’ needs, synthesizing and summarizing information to aid in new product development. You have the ability to utilize software tools to share information internally and externally.
- Bachelor’s degree of agronomy or related field with up to 10 years of agronomy and soil health experience or Master’s degree of agronomy and 3-5 years of experience.
- Established industry network and ability to maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and growers.
- Proven ability to position products in agriculture related agronomy market.
- Demonstrated experience implementing strategic trials/side-by-sides to showcase product impacts.
- 50% Travel throughout Southeastern region including Florida, Georgia and the Carolina’s.
- CCA license preferred but not required.
