Reports to: Chancellor

Employment Type: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt; Hourly

Shift: 8 Hours per day, starting at 7am or 9am

Salary Range: $20.75/hour


Primary Responsibilities


Building Maintenance

  • General cleaning of office spaces and common areas throughout the building including meeting rooms, rest rooms and kitchens.
  • Emptying waste baskets
  • Vacuuming carpet and mopping floors
  • Disposing of other discarded items
  • Occasional removal of carpet and wall stains
  • Assist maintenance team with minor repairs

Central Services Assistance

  • Assist with conference room set up, break-down and cleaning
  • Assist in identifying needed building and ground maintenance
  • Cooperate with building security efforts (building and gate lock-up)

  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance and repairs
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL, etc.)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Service orientation
  • Some familiarity with the structure and practices of the Catholic Church

Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate
  • Familiarity with commercial maintenance procedures
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and controls is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to perform moderate to heavy manual labor including frequent bending, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to be mobile to, from, and within the pastoral center, as well as maneuver throughout the facility to attend meetings, briefings, and other work-related events. The employee may be required to conduct trips to, from, and within various city and county-wide locations to attend meetings or events.
