Designated as the Social Care Network (SCN) Lead Entity for the Capital Region, Central NY, and North Country under New York’s 1115 Waiver Amendment’s SCN & Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) Program, we are responsible for ensuring that there is a seamless, consistent end-to-end process for HRSN screening, navigation, and the delivery of HRSN and other services to thousands of Medicaid Members. Who You Are
The Network Growth Consultant is responsible for assisting in the growth of Healthy Alliance’s network to fill service gaps and generate quality referrals, which includes but is not limited to social care providers, local government, behavioral health providers, education systems, and clinical organizations.
We are looking for someone in the North Country region.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engagement with prospective strategic network providers from initial contact to executed contract.
- Manage the full network growth cycle process (qualifying, sourcing, and leading engagement with qualified prospects, contract review, responding to inquiries about the contract, and executing contracts) with the assistance of the Network Development team. Build trusted relationships with providers and articulate the value that Healthy Alliance network participation brings to the provider and the community members they serve. Maintain those relationships throughout the contracting phase through the transition to Operations.
- Ensure a smooth and successful transition for newly contracted providers to the onboarding process by closely coordinating with the Operations team, including monitoring engagement of new partners.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and contracted network providers.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure the pipeline is running smoothly and all metrics are tracked and communicated.
- Conduct software demonstrations for potential providers with a thoughtful approach to how the software and Healthy Alliance’s supporting services will support the provider.
- Represent Healthy Alliance at community forums, workgroups, and state and local speaking engagements.
- Travel up to 25% to the designated regions for in-person events to speak/present/table as a trusted community partner.
- Influence network growth best practice enterprise-wide with internal staff and with strategic partner colleagues.
- Convene community forums that are aligned with our mission, vision, and goals and are pertinent to the network growth function.
- Maintain a keen understanding of Healthy Alliance’s strategy, mission, and vision and participate in network growth goal setting and prioritization to achieve enterprise goals.
- Maintain current knowledge of Healthy Alliance services and operations.
- Develop effective approaches to collaboration with organizations within and across regions.
- Maintain up-to-date notes on provider communication, timelines, and activities to give visibility to team members and management.

What You’ll Need
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields, such as sales, marketing or provider relations. Equivalent work experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
Professional Work Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years related experience in a clinical, non-profit, or managed-care organization environment preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of health equity, social drivers of health, and social care data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to build constructive working relationships with others inside and outside the organization through cooperation and mutual respect. Capacity to inspire and motivate others.
- Thrive working with multiple systems and processes.
- Extremely detailed-oriented and capable of multitasking.
- Proven record of hitting key metrics, defining effective data-driven Network Development strategies, and problem-solving.
- Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn additional software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
- Previous experience recruiting providers, other health care professionals, or partners preferred but not required.
- Previous experience closing contracts and sales preferred but not required.
- Performs all work in accordance with Healthy Alliance core competencies and values.
