Duarte’s Senior Designer, working within our Marketing Department, is a key contributor to the visual storytelling that defines our brand. This role blends creative leadership with hands-on design, bringing innovative, on-brand visuals to life across multiple channels.


As a Marketing Senior Designer you will:

  • Own and enhance our brand's visual identity across all marketing outputs while strategically evolving its presence in response to trends and audience feedback.
  • Design and execute compelling creative solutions for campaigns, ads, social assets, email templates, webinar visuals, and landing pages.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure marketing visuals align with strategic goals, customer needs, and Duarte’s methodology.
  • Drive creative excellence through consistent application of design principles while finding opportunities to push the boundaries of our brand guidelines.
  • Prioritize and manage workloads, maintaining timelines and ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Support team growth, providing insights to improve processes, and influencing our overall creative strategy.

Measurement

This role assumes a primary focus on producing high-quality creative outputs, but performance will also be assessed based on:

  • The consistency and visual impact of marketing deliverables.
  • Timely completion of projects within budget and scope.
  • Contributions to team and stakeholder satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Creative Output

  • Produce a variety of marketing assets, including ads, emails, social content, promotional materials, and event visuals.
  • Refresh branded templates (social media, presentations, webinars) and maintain a consistent repository of high-quality assets.
  • Design and enhance Academy product overviews, diagrams, and data visualizations.
  • Regularly create visuals for blog posts, landing pages, and videos, ensuring alignment with UX best practices.
  • Execute edits and production tasks with precision, from photo adjustments to sourcing stock images.

Design Excellence

  • Champion design principles: Ensure all deliverables exemplify advanced design principles, including sophisticated use of shape, color theory, balance, and white space.
  • Master grid systems: Utilize grid systems with precision, guaranteeing that all files are meticulously organized, production-ready, and easily editable.
  • Drive creative innovation: Develop and present a diverse array of creative concepts, offering clients and stakeholders a spectrum of visual strategies to choose from.

Marketing Expertise

  • Use tools like Hubspot, Canva, and email template builders to enhance campaigns.
  • Stay updated on marketing trends, particularly for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Ensure visuals align with current accessibility, legal and branding requirements.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Manage schedules and capacity, proactively communicating with stakeholders and teams.
  • Provide accurate time estimates for projects and raise concerns early to avoid delays.
  • Engage in feedback loops, refining and improving work in response to input.
  • Organize files and maintain a collaborative workspace for seamless team interaction.

Process & Organization

  • Propose and implement workflow optimizations, leveraging professional shortcuts to improve turnaround times.
  • Maintain an organized digital library of assets and project files, accessible to all relevant team members.

Support & Collaboration

In this role, you will collaborate closely with:

  • Marketing Leadership to refine creative strategies and campaigns.
  • Brand Team to align with and evolve Duarte’s visual identity.
  • Marketing Operations for scheduling, tools, and workflow optimization.
  • Production Teams for video, print, and digital deliverables.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing design or creative direction, preferably within a marketing or branding agency.
  • Proven proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience with After Effects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools like Hubspot, Canva, and email template builders.
  • Experience designing for digital platforms, including web and social media.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing ability to work within brand guidelines while innovating creatively.
  • Basic video editing and motion graphic skills are highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an aptitude for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide rationale for design decisions.

  • Expertise in branding and identity design.
  • Experience creating motion graphics and video content.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and trends in digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in creative problem-solving and process optimization.

Compensation

Base pay range (National Average) per year: $72,200 - $83,000 per year
