Each summer, RDG Planning & Design opens its doors to a group of summer interns who work alongside professionals in various disciplines and across multiple markets, learning directly from seasoned practitioners and getting hands-on project experience. We’re currently looking for an intern to join our planning team this summer and support work that helps transform places across the Midwest

Essential Job Functions

  • One-on-one collaboration with and mentorship from an experienced planner 
  • Support the planning team for projects across the Midwest
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines, clients and the public
  • Research, analyze and write for a variety of project types including comprehensive community planning, housing market studies, neighborhood revitalization,      corridor redevelopment, downtown plans and multi-modal transportation planning. For one of your projects this year, you will have a unique opportunity to work on a project building a housing toolkit for Nebraska      communities
  • Prepare visual appealing materials for meetings and events

Education & Experience: 

  • Pursuing a master’s degree in urban planning, urban studies or related field
