Primary Purpose of Position: The Development Coordinator will provide technical and analytical support, analyze data, prepare reports, maintain financial records and respond to customers and partner inquiries for the multifamily development team.
Oversee and process public inquiries and requests for multifamily program information
o Respond to phone calls from customers and internal and external partners with various requests regarding MaineHousing’s requirements and guidelines
o Provide technical assistance, verbally and in writing, to customers regarding program requirements
o Interpret and communicate programmatic guidelines, and conduct research when necessary
o Develop a strong working relationship with partners
Provide technical support to the multifamily development team
o Work with the multifamily team to develop training materials for internal and external partners
o Assist interpreting rules pertaining to various government programs
o Assist in the processing of requisitions, subsidy layering reviews, and environmental reviews
o Assist with the preparation of funding requests for loan committee
Perform detailed record keeping and data entry
o Maintain project loan files by filing correspondence and notices appropriately, including electronic storage
o Compile data for review and analysis by others for both operating and construction costs
o Update database for loan officers and construction analysts as needed
o Update applicable reports, databases, and compile date for the Development dashboard
o Archive project files in accordance with policy and records retention requirements
Provide administrative support
o Prepare invoices, check requests, and purchase orders
o Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, travel arrangements, and reimbursements
o Review content of website and program brochures and update as needed or requested
o Update and track delegated tasks to ensure progress to meet deadlines
o Process incoming and outgoing mail
o Update and maintain Manuals and Procedure Guides
o Maintain Records Retention database and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions: Fast paced work environment. MaineHousing office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. A hybrid schedule that includes some telework may be available.
Reports to: Multifamily Underwriting Manager
The starting hourly rate for this position is $18.9149 (annual $39,343), plus a comprehensive benefits package, including, but not limited to, health, dental and vision, retirement options with employer match, life insurance, short and long-term disability, employee assistance, generous earned time and all major federal holidays. Employment is eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
Education and Experience: Education and a minimum of four years of experience working in an administrative role or a combination of six years of experience and training. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is required.
