Commercial Lines Assistant provides support to Account Management Team while adhering to all company standards, procedures, and processes.
ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
At the direction of an Account Manager:
- Process both premium and non-premium bearing endorsements
- Follow-up on notices of cancellation and process notices of non-renewal
- Issues certificates, evidence of insurance, Auto ID Cards
- Follow up for receipt of policies and prepares and requests binder extensions, when required
- Handles actions items assigned
- Compare policies received to applications in management system, quote, and review proposals for accuracy.
- List any discrepancies found and forward to Account Manager for final review and disposition of discrepancies found.
- Assistant Account Manager may update the applications and process corrections needed at the direction of the Account Manager.
- Forward policy(s) to client via email or post
- Obtain loss runs for renewal and prepare loss summaries (when required)
- Request updated drivers list, property schedules, certificate holder lists, etc.
- Prepares finance agreements as directed
- Prepares Proposals, Letters, Excel Spreadsheets, and Insurance Summaries
- Data Entry for prospects and ongoing maintenance of management system
- Back up Account Manager when Account Manager is out of the office
- Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
- All other related duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certification/Experience:
· High School degree or GED
· Active 440 or 220 license is required with the state of Florida
· Minimum of 2 years of insurance experience
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
· Good interpersonal skills, along with the ability to collaborate across entire organization.
· Must be able to communicate clearly, read and write in English.
· Passionate individual willing to immerse him/herself in their work.
· Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively set priorities and complete tasks with a great attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills: oral, written and listening.
· Strong insurance agency operational capabilities.
· Strong working knowledge of AMS is preferred.

· Must show initiative and possess the ability to make decisions and solve problems quickly and effectively.
· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
