Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to monitor stock inflows and outflows and optimize inventory management processes to guarantee order fulfilment is in line with customer demand.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform daily transactions within the ERP system to maintain an updated material inventory. This will include goods receipts, inventory adjustments, pallet transfers, creating/confirming transfer orders, etc.

Maintain accurate inventory counts through daily, monthly cycle counts and annual year-end physical inventories.

Investigate and resolve errors in physical counts versus records in the ERP system.

Responsible for sending all inbound and outbound PODs to Accounts Payable. 

Schedule inbound/outbound delivery appointments and forward the information to appropriate individuals.

Maintains product rotation and storage disciplines (FIFO).

Ensures all finished goods, raw materials, etc. are maintained per established standard operating procedures.

Responsible for verifying inventory transaction records within the ERP system.

Organizes warehouse for efficient storage and material distribution per Supervisor instructions.

Support physical receipt of goods, stocking, storage, staging, and transfer preparation. 

Assist with finished material recalls.

Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or GED.


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • 2+ years of previous warehouse and/or inventory related experience preferred.
  • Good communication, organization, time management, and mathematical skills.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills required.
  • Pallet stacker, pallet jack, and/or forklift experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time (e.g., preparing products for packaging, packaging products, and regular inventory).
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Able to perform intermediate accounting tasks, addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, and weight measures.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds unassisted (and up to 300 pounds with assistance) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with plants and products.


Salary Description
$19.25 to $20.25 per hour
