JOB SUMMARY
The Scheduler is a full-time hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Operations Manager or Appliance Delivery and Install Manager with the responsibility to schedule the installation of flooring, countertops, cabinets, or appliances in an efficient, cost-effective manner that will maximize job profitability while adhering to company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Schedule with builders/homeowners and project managers for commercial and residential jobs. (For time frames that are requested)
- Split lines for each job delivery to ensure the amount needed is per floor or job needs. If applicable, include hinges and unit instructions on comment line
- Assist in coordinating all deliveries for granite/cabinet/flooring/appliances with the warehouse project manager and install staff to avoid extra job site trips.
- Call/assist with claims and/or repairs coordination as needed
- Oversee all schedules (appliances/granite/flooring/cabinets) to verify specific dates/times are met with all our products.
- Communicate with all installers/delivery persons on a daily basis to ensure their jobs are completed and customers are satisfied
- Communicate with all Sales Staff on a daily/weekly basis on their jobs, for detailed job progress and costs.
- Contact customers one to two days ahead to confirm scheduled times/dates as required
- Assist in warehouse inventory to ensure all parts are available to service/install all flooring, cabinet, countertops, and appliances
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to identify variances from the norm. Ability to calculate multiples of units of measure and convert units of measure
- Ability to be personable in customer interaction scenarios
- Excellent problem solving follow up and attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Ability to analyze technical data
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as customers
- Current knowledge of product installation
- Accurate data entry/keyboarding skills
- Proficient in computer spreadsheet programs, e-mail, Word programs and learn company computer program
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Project and conduct a positive company image and conduct oneself in a professional manner
- Travel to current and potential customers/clients
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record that meets the minimum requirements of the company’s insurance provider
- Capacity and willingness to work a flexible schedule is required
- Establish and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with employees in other departments
- Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and work well under pressure
- Work independently with little supervision
