Join Us as a Pet Store Clerk!


Weavers Way Co-op is looking for an energetic, creative, and experienced individual to work in our Pet store in Mount Airy, Across the Way Store. This is a part-time, non-exempt position, working an anticipated 20-29 hours per week; Friday PM, Saturday PM and Sunday PM. If you have experience working with pet products, a love of animals, and a desire to learn, then we want to hear from you! We are excited to have this opportunity available for the right candidate.


This position requires a focus on customer service as a top priority. Customer requests/complaints are to be addressed quickly and effectively. Although we do not sell pets at Across the Way, we welcome pets inside our stores!


Requirements

Responsibilities


- Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products for their pets

- Maintain a clean and organized store environment

- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately

- Stock shelves and ensure inventory is well-stocked

- Provide information to customers about pet care and nutrition

- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner

- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals


Requirements


- Availability to work the following schedule:  Friday PM, Saturday PM and Sunday PM. 

- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred

- Passion for animals and their well-being

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
