Description

JOB SUMMARY 

The Product Development Manager will oversee the design, development, and launch of new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and company objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and driving innovation to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations and business goals.

  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define product requirements and specifications
  • Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budget product launches
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and gather feedback for continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps in alignment with company strategy
  • Ensure all products comply with relevant regulations, standards, and quality requirements
  • Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders, -providing updates on project progress, risks, and solutions

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Manage and mentor a team of product designers, engineers, and other related roles
  • Provide guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities for team members
  • Ensure team alignment with project objectives and company goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or management roles
  • Proven track record of successfully managing product lifecycles and launching new products
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in [specific industry, e.g., consumer electronics, healthcare, etc.]
  • Familiarity with CAD software or other design tools
