What You Will Do

As the Director of Certification and Quality Services, you will:

• Lead the implementation of APA's certification and quality programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with strategic goals.
• Oversee compliance with ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17020, Japanese Agricultural Standards (JAS) as well as Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF)requirements and the APA's Quality Manual.
• Foster collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to address quality concerns, uphold industry standards, and promote innovation.
• Manage a talented team, including direct and matrix reports, to deliver high-performance results.
• Streamline operations with best practices such as Lean and Six Sigma.

Provide thought leadership and guidance on industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What you Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quality field (MBA or advanced degrees preferred but not required) or three to five years practical experience in manufacturing, certification, testing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven leadership and operational management experience, with a strong ability to build and develop teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with engineered wood products and the North American forest products industry (preferred, not required).
• Knowledge and utilization of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and regulatory standards (preferred).

Functional knowledge of engineered wood products is preferred.

Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

• Salary Range: Competitive salary range of $130,000 to $165,000 per year, dependent upon experience.
