 The Position


The IT Support Specialist is a technical support role responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. They are responsible for handling onboarding and offboarding processes and addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner. This role will work closely with IT Support Specialists, IT Service Manager, and end-users to support daily issues and functions.


Requirements
  • Activities will include ticket triaging, onboarding, and meeting facilitation
  • Serve as the first contact with users related to the onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Respond to user requests for services; troubleshoot problems and develop solutions
  • Provide troubleshooting on hardware and software in-house and multi-functional devices
  • Provide ongoing assistance to existing telephony systems
  • Oversee the safeguarding of company assets, intellectual property, and computer systems.
  • Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve
  • Other duties may be assigned as required
  • Continuous work to improve yourself, and others, both technically and professionally as expected


Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, etc.):

  • College or Technical School degree desirable
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a technical support role or combination of education and experience
  • Certifications including CompTIA A+, Network+ are desirable
  • Experience with Windows 10/11, VoIP Software, and Workflow processes
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows Servers, Operating Systems, and Office Products
  • Experience with Apple Products such as iPhones and iPads
  • Proven MS Office 365 infrastructure experience
  • Experience with troubleshooting applications and preventative maintenance
  • Ability to effectively handle competing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well under pressure while maintaining an organized methodology.

 Physical Effort & Working Conditions  

  

Work is performed in a normal office setting in our Overland Park, KS headquarters with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer.

This is a full-time position working standard business hours Monday – Friday, although project support may require temporary adjustments to those hours only as needed. 

Position reports to the office for first six-months then qualifies to moves to hybrid with successful completion of training and satisfactory performance.
