Position Description 


The Senior Manager of Operations is an operational leader who will be responsible for developing and executing strategic operational plans for Coaching Education courses and programs. They will work closely with the Senior Director of Strategy & Operations, Director of Coaching Education, Coaching Education Operational and Technical team members, and various cross-functional stakeholders to carry out key priorities supporting the development and growth of coaching education & development courses and programs. They will be strategic and operational, a relationship builder, with experience supporting design and implementation of strategic programming to achieve specific objectives. This person will report into the Senior Director, Strategy & Operations.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contributor to USSF’s Coaching Education overall operational roadmap for formal courses and programs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s broader professional development goals
  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans that support the delivery and growth of formal courses and programs
  • Build and execute go-to-market planning for formal courses and programs, aligning the strategy with business objectives, delivery models, and target markets to ensure successful program execution
  • Support the development, growth, and adoption of formal courses and programs by aligning offerings with member needs and market demands
  • Forge member engagement models to ensure the quality and value of formal courses align with member needs
  • Responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative assessments (performance monitoring) on formal courses to guide feedback for future state solutions
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators to assess and improve operational performance
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, logistics, and administrative support; ensure smooth handling of all formal course delivery and handling of documentation / registration associated with these courses
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements to enhance productivity and effectiveness of formal courses
  • Collaborate on identifying and implementing digital tools and resources to enhance operational efficiency and participant experience of formal courses and programs
  • Integrate DEIB principles into all aspects of coaching education, including program design, staff development, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements


Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A. or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university required
  • Minimum 7+ years professional experience, preferable in a strategic or operational role
  • Experience working in the soccer ecosystem directly supporting coaching education programs a plus
  • Experience supporting program design and delivery that deliver results against priority objectives
  • Proven problem solver and operator
  • Proficient in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management
  • Strong ability to influence key stakeholder partners
  • Deep understanding of regulations, standards, and levers germane to the amateur soccer ecosystem
  • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Ability to deliver high quality work and execute under pressure/deadlines
  • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
