Position Description 
The Senior Accountant supports the Finance department with all organizational financial needs, including significant involvement in the audit and tax processes, AP/AR processes, journal entry preparation and review, monthly financial reporting, expense reimbursements, and assisting with the management of the organization’s financial accounting system.
Primary Responsibilities 
  • Perform accounting activities such as the input or review of journal entries, invoices, and account reconciliations
  • Manage the accounts payable process, including payment runs and wires
  • Manage the vendor database
  • Prepare and file IRS forms 1042 and 1099s
  • Maintains the organization’s expense management platform and corporate credit card program
  • Analyze and generate ad hoc reports
  • Contributes to accounting decisions and discussions with research and communication
  • Assists the Accounting Manager coordinating the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
  • Assists with the maintenance of fixed asset ledger
  • Supports the relationship between the Finance and Competitions Departments with regards to International Games closeouts
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements


Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and comfortability with journal entry debits and credits
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
  • Ability to execute under pressure and deadlines
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow 
  • Desired Qualifications 
  • Experience working at a non-profit, sporting organization, financial services, or public accounting firm
  • Experience at a public accounting firm
  • Pursue lifelong development and learning 
  • Believe and commit to the company’s culture and organizational goals 
  • Passion for soccer
