Position Summary

Assume management duties while Restaurant Manager and/or General Manager are not present. Perform opening and closing procedures for the restaurant and adequately address customer-related issues.  Greet and serve guests food and beverages in accordance with tesori standards.  


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proficient in Open Table and overseeing the Front Door – Hospitable and gracious to all guests
  • Maintain a positive and guiding attitude while in the restaurant lead position as well as on the floor as a server
  • Review and analyze Aloha and Open Table reports (sales, comps, etc.) on a daily basis
  • Accurately perform cash drops, change orders, server drops, petty cash, and change banks
  • Authorize comps according to Applause policy
  • Provide oversight and assistance to team members in the following areas:
  • Running food
  • Table maintenance
  • Wine service
  • Resetting the dining room, as needed
  • Serving customers at the bar
  • Lead shift meetings regularly to ensure a smooth transition
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, and administer corrective action when appropriate
  • Maintain knowledge of tesori’s food and beverage preparation processes
  • Persuade customers to purchase menu items
  • Process customer orders
  • Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant
  • Verify customers consuming alcoholic beverages are of legal age
  • Comply with Applause dress code 
  • Perform other duties as assigned




Requirements

Education and Experience:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience required

• Casual fine dining experience required

• Experience with computer software in the restaurant industry required

Language Skills 

Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently. Bilingual skills preferred.
