Summer@Country School offers a safe, self-contained environment perfect for participants to freely explore and enjoy their favorite activities with friends old and new. We offer a range of traditional and new activities that make each summer unique, including art, STEM and athletics, 85 acres of outdoor and woodland adventure, and weekly specials. Through hands-on experiences and a combination of guided and independent experiences, campers are encouraged to try new things, explore, accept challenges, and most of all have fun.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for working with the Program Leadership to ensure a fun and safe camp experience. The main responsibilities will include support of all programs and constituents, coverage of the program main office, and parent and staff communication. Summer@Country School is looking for an Administrative Assistant who is organized, enthusiastic and enjoys working with children.
This program runs 9 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday from June 16 to August 15. 2025. The projected number of hours per week is 40. A full summer commitment is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Cover the program's main office; phone calls, emails, etc.
- Collaborate with the Program Director regarding daily logistics: schedule changes, staff coverage, lunch & allergy support, update group binders, etc.
- Coordinate lunch logistics in partnership with the kitchen team
- Communicate with all constituents including parents, staff, and campers
- Provide staff support as needed
- Evaluate and order supplies
- Update attendance and communicate late drop-offs and early pick-ups with groups
- Run weekly roster reports for groups
- Create weekly photo folders to share with families
- Attend all staff meetings
- Be a role model to children and staff in your attitude and behavior
- Represent the program when interacting with parents or community members
Essential Qualifications
- Has basic knowledge of the CampBrain system regarding programming, registration, and running of reports preferred
- Has experience, excitement, joy, and passion for working with children
- Has strong verbal and written communication skills with all constituencies (children, colleagues, families)
- Is cooperative, supportive, flexible, organized
- Can create a positive program community and build relationships with staff and participants
- Has a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset
- Has experience in and commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of an inclusive campus community
- Has experience with conflict resolution and group management
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Has a positive personality and an adaptable, flexible approach
- Has strong organizational skills and attention to detail
