Associate Financial Analyst (Hybrid Role in Valencia, CA)
Description

SetPoint Medical’s Associate Financial Analyst is responsible for facilitating assigned projects by serving as a liaison between the Finance department and other departments. This motivated and self-driven Associate Financial Analyst will ensure timely setting and communication of goals and evaluating and refining end results. The Associate Financial Analyst will report to the Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis. 


This position is hybrid, reporting to company headquarters in Valencia, CA.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary depending on the Associate Business Analyst’s skillset, but may include: 


Financial Model Maintenance

  • Assist in maintaining financial models and reports used by the executive team.
  • Ensure data accuracy and update models regularly.

Budgeting and Forecasting Support

  • Support the budget and quarterly forecasting processes. 
  • Assist in implementing improvements to the forecasting methodology.
  • Help research and communicate forecast variances versus actuals.

Financial Analysis

  • Assist in conducting valuation and investor-driven financial analytics.
  • Support monthly/quarterly budget versus actual analyses.

Cash Flow Analysis

  • Help forecast cash inflows and outflows.
  • Analyze the cash flow impacts of changes in inventory buys and other strategic investments.

Ad-Hoc Financial Requests

  • Develop preliminary solutions to ad-hoc financial, analytical, and reporting requests.
  • Gather and analyze data to support ad-hoc requests.

System and Process Improvement

  • Assist in analyzing and reviewing proposals for systems related to financial accounting methods, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide support in recommending improvements.

Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and deliver preliminary evaluations, proposals, and recommendations to supervisors.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive reports for executive leadership and other stakeholders.

General Support

  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior analysts and management.
  • Provide general support to the finance team as needed.

Location

  • This position is hybrid, reporting to company headquarters in Valencia, CA.
  • Travel is minimal with opportunities based on availability and interest.

Salary Description
$70,000 - $85,000, depending on experience
