JOB SUMMARY 

The Warehouse Lead (Inventory Management) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the effective management of inventory, maintaining efficient warehouse workflows, and leading a team of warehouse associates. This role combines leadership duties with responsibilities in inventory management, ensuring that stock is properly tracked, organized, and replenished as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Warehouse Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Assign daily tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that workflows are completed on time.
  • Provide training and development to warehouse staff on safety protocols, inventory management processes, and equipment use.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for employee development.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices in the warehouse.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems (e.g., barcode scanners, ERP systems).
  • Perform regular inventory counts (e.g., cycle counts, full stock takes) and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Ensure that inventory is stored correctly and is easily accessible for picking and shipping.
  • Work with the purchasing team to manage stock levels and reorder products as necessary to prevent stockouts or overstock.
  • Monitor inventory trends and report on the need for inventory adjustments or special projects.

Order Fulfillment & Shipping:

  • Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of orders in accordance with established deadlines and quality standards.
  • Ensure that products are accurately labeled and prepared for shipment.
  • Resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, damages, or shipping delays.

Warehouse Organization & Maintenance:

  • Ensure the warehouse is organized and clean, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the storage and shelving systems to maximize space and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring timely repairs and preventative maintenance.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Generate and maintain inventory reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicate any issues or trends to management.
  • Track and report on warehouse productivity, accuracy, and team performance.
  • Assist with forecasting and demand planning based on inventory levels and historical trends.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Collaborate with other teams, such as Purchasing, Logistics, and Quality Control, to streamline processes and address any inventory or supply chain issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process optimizations based on hands-on experience in the warehouse.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years of Warehouse/Inventory Management experience with at least 1 year of Supervisory experience
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years of Supervisory Experience
  • 2 + Years of Flooring Industry experience managing a warehouse with an emphasis on inventory management.
  •  MUST be bilingual - proficient in Spanish and English

Salary Description
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00/Yr.
