Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Professional Billing (PB) Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team for an integration project at new partner. This role will focus on evaluating and integrating the revenue cycle operations of a newly acquired hospital into the larger existing system. The position involves assessment, optimization, and implementation efforts to ensure seamless integration and improved performance of PB operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of the newly acquired hospital’s revenue cycle operations, focusing on PB workflows, policies, and procedures.
- Evaluate existing technology, operational processes, and interdepartmental communication to document current workflows and identify areas for standardization.
- Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for non-standardized processes and document opportunities for improvement.
- Assess organizational structures within key PB departments, ensuring alignment with the partner’s operational guidelines.
- Analyze staffing models, performance metrics, and operational structures to recommend optimization strategies.
- Provide recommendations to enhance leadership strategies, improve departmental relationships, and streamline communication workflows between physician leadership and revenue cycle teams.
- Support the integration of Epic systems, ensuring readiness, technical support, and vendor management for a seamless migration.
- Collaborate with partner leadership to align operational strategies and implement best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue cycle operations, with a focus on PB processes.
- Proven expertise in Epic systems, coding workflows, and billing/follow-up processes.
- Strong analytical skills to assess operational workflows, identify gaps, and propose actionable solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience in developing and implementing SOPs and leading process standardization efforts.
- Willingness to travel on-site as needed.
