Position:        Corporate Recruiter

FLSA Status:  Full-time, Exempt

Salary:            $85,000 - $100,000 Annually, Depending on Qualifications

Location:        Remote or Headquarters (Ypsilanti, MI)

  

Position Summary:


The Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and securing top talent for technical and non-technical roles within the aviation industry. This position requires expertise in recruiting for specialized areas such as project management, construction, and design. The Recruiter will collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver exceptional talent acquisition strategies that align with business goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop and execute recruitment strategies tailored to the aviation industry, focusing on technical and leadership roles.

· Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, industry networks, and employee referrals.

· Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.

· Conduct initial candidate screenings and assessments to evaluate qualifications and cultural fit.

· Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements and develop job descriptions.

· Provide guidance on market trends, competitive intelligence, and compensation benchmarking for aviation-specific roles.

· Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.

· Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage candidate information and track recruitment metrics.

· Stay informed about developments in the aviation sector, including trends in project management, construction, and design.

· Other duties as assigned.


Education and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience in the aviation sector may be considered.

· Certifications such as AIRS, SHRM-CP, or PHR are preferred.

· 5–7 years of professional recruiting experience, 

· At least 3 years of recruiting experience in the aviation industry is preferred

· Proven success in recruiting for technical roles, including project management, construction, and design.

· Strong sourcing and networking abilities, with a track record of finding passive candidates.

· Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

· Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter.


Working conditions

Physical requirements  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit for long periods of time, bend, use hands to manipulate (type), talk and hear; walk; sit, and lift or move no more than ten pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral visions, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The position reports to the HR Manager or other member of leadership identified during the hiring process or performance review process.
